About the Role
The Major Gifts Officer will identify, cultivate, and manage a portfolio of individual major gift donors in the US. An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate the organization’s mission is key. Therefore, candidates should adhere to a vegan lifestyle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Build and manage a fundraising portfolio of US-based major gift prospects at the $5,000+ level, focusing on $25,000+ donors from individuals, foundations, and companies.
-Develop and implement prospect and donor engagement strategies, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
-Profile prospective donors and contact key businesspeople and decision-makers in the US Jewish community.
-Personally cultivate, solicit, and secure major gifts. Work with existing donors to identify other prospective donors.
-Successfully communicate the mission and impact of Freedom Farm Sanctuary’s work.
-Prepare written materials such as proposals, reports, direct asks, and thank-you letters.
-Orchestrate meetings between donors and donor prospects and the Israel team, setting up online and in-person meetings in the US and Israel.
-Develop creative ways to keep donors engaged with Freedom Farm's work.
-Track all activity in a donor database; maintain accurate records of all donor/prospect interactions and strategies for future engagement.
-Act as the public face of Freedom Farm Sanctuary in the US.
-Getting FFS on the itinerary of US groups visiting Israel

Freedom Farm Sanctuary is a sanctuary for animals rescued from the food and animal testing industries. The sanctuary serves also as an educational center that seeks to bring people and animals together, in order to spread compassion and allow people to connect with farm animals like never before, and learn about their reality in the food industries.
