OUR IMPACT
For every $1 we spend or you donate, we provide $2.7 of value to the animal movement.
We exist to direct mission-aligned animal advocates to opportunities to achieve the highest impact possible through their careers.
We were founded in October 2019. Since then, over 87 thousand people have visited our website and many have changed their career plans based on our advice.

INTRODUCTION TO ANIMAL ADVOCACY
ONLINE COURSE
IMPACT OF OUR SERVICES
Our online course plays a crucial role to achieve one of our priorities: support promising individuals to evaluate, explore, and prepare for high-impact career paths in the animal advocacy movement.
It introduces people to the sorts of career opportunities that exist in the space and supports them to evaluate which options will be the best fit for them and for animals.

“He listened attentively, asked thoughtful questions, and gave practical advice and resources. He was also encouraging and warm in a way that gave me more confidence to proceed with my explorations!”
“I thought that the way he matched my interests / skills to potential career paths was super helpful. And I found the info he gave on those career options to be very informative.”
JOB BOARD
Our animal advocacy job board connects animal nonprofits with candidates looking for an animal advocacy role.
We list roles at impact-focused animal nonprofit organisations where we expect that the role has an unusually high impact potential for animals.
Our job board is also a great tool for attracting people interested in animal advocacy roles for our website. Almost 35% of our traffic arrive at our website through the job board page.
We’ve heard of 7 people who have found their roles through our job board. But since we have thousands of people visiting our job board each month, it is likely that the true number is higher.

TOP CANDIDATE DATABASE
In 2023, we're excited to introduce our Top Candidate Database, an exclusive program that links organisations with top candidates from previous hiring rounds.
This program aims to solve hiring challenges in the movement and make it easy for both small and large organisations to find the best talent efficiently. We believe the Top Candidate Database will be essential for strengthening the animal advocacy community in the long run by retaining and supporting talented advocates.

Thank you for your interest in our work! There are many ways you can get involved with Animal Advocacy Careers, but one of the most helpful contributions you can make is to support us financially.
We are fully run through philanthropic donations. We have been supported by Open Philanthropy, Animal Charity Evaluators, Effective Altruism Funds, Charity Entrepreneurship, and individual donors, but it is vital that we develop a sustainable funding model with multiple funding sources. We do not expect to be able to meet our funding needs by grants alone, so your support is crucial to our mission. Currently, we need to raise $30,000 USD to meet our target until the end of this year.
If you are interested in making a donation of $1,000 or above please contact lauren@animaladvocacycareers.org to discuss further.
We are hugely grateful for any support you are able to provide — any donation, however small, helps us continue our work to help animals.
