About the Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage day-to-day People Operations responsibilities at GFI, including but not limited to payroll, compensation, benefits, compliance, leaves of absence, and administrative management of the full employee lifecycle. The People Operations Manager will be responsible for:

* Processing bi-weekly multi-state payroll in ADP Workforce Now accurately and timely and serving as the main Administrator for ADP.
* Managing GFI’s employee benefits program, including identifying and reviewing options, overseeing the open enrollment process and changes, and auditing benefits files and invoices.
* Developing SOPs and policies, managing employee handbook updates, and ensuring People Operations documents and guides (e.g., the Compensation and Benefits Policy) are updated and comply with local, state, and federal requirements as well as GFI cultural practices.
* Overseeing onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding processes, including customizing and fulfilling tasks in ADP as well as checklists in Asana, GFI’s designated project management platform. 
* Leave and disability administration, including reviewing requests for reasonable accommodation.
* Overseeing 401(k) plan compliance and administration, and serving on the GFI 401(k) committee with the Senior Finance Manager and Vice President of Operations.
* Directly managing the People Operations Coordinator, including but not limited to training, development, and performance management.
* Providing guidance and support to employees through the People Operations team inbox in collaboration with the People Operations Coordinator, answering questions and addressing any concerns.
* Monitoring employment law requirements in all locations where GFI U.S. has employees and ensuring GFI is in compliance with local, state, and federal law.
* Staying up-to-date on best practices in People Operations and compliance and proactively sharing relevant updates to the People Operations team and other employees as applicable.
* Completing all reporting requirements such as EEO-1 and pay data reporting.
* Collaborating closely with the Director of Finance and Operations to remain compliant with state withholding, unemployment, and local tax account regulations and reporting requirements, including liaising with ADP as needed. 
* Participating in periodic pay equity review processes in collaboration with the Director of People Operations, including preparation of planning processes and analysis of compensation and benchmarking data.
* Managing vendor relationships such as with ADP, Gallagher (benefits services), Cigna (medical and dental), Principal (vision, life, disability), Ameriflex (FSA / HSA / DCA / COBRA), Magellan (EAP), JOON (Lifestyle Spending Account), The Noble Group (401(k)), Tracker I-9, and Verified First (background checks).
* Including benefits, wellness, payroll, compliance, and training and development updates in the weekly Collaborative Assistance Team (CAT) Newsletter.
* Ensuring maintenance of employee files and retention of People Operations records.
* Providing training to employees and supervisors on People Operations related topics such as benefits, payroll, compliance, and policies.
* Partnering with other members of the People Operations team, including the People and Culture Manager, People Operations Coordinator, and Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, and providing back-up support when necessary.
* Performing other duties as assigned.
