About the Role

In this role you will have the opportunity to secure the essential funds that power our work while collaborating with an international team of fundraisers who believe change is possible. 

GFI’s Annual Fund includes all donors under $5,000 - which include 95% of our donors and our most public facing fundraising at a fast-growing organization. Working with the Director of Development, you will set the strategy and lead the execution of our Annual Fund.

The Annual Fund Manager will be responsible for:
* Planning, executing, and managing all phases of a comprehensive and well-coordinated annual giving program.
* Developing and executing solicitation strategies for key constituencies, including current and lapsed donors, pools of prospect donors, sustaining givers, peer-to-peer fundraisers, and affiliate/third-party giving programs.
* Identifying and managing opportunities for GFI’s international affiliates to collaborate with GFI’s annual fund.
* Developing stewardship strategies at scale that provide a pathway for renewed and increased giving.
* Working with the Development Coordinator and Communications Team to ensure campaigns are seamlessly coordinated and executed.
* Collaborating with the Communications and larger Development team on high-impact virtual and in-person events to bring donors closer to GFI’s work.
* Partnering with the Donor Services Salesforce Analyst to create and streamline processes that benefit donor relationships and data integrity. 
* Reporting monthly on key fundraising fitness metrics and annual fund’s gap to goal.
* Performing other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For 
The Annual Fund Manager must have:
* At least three years of experience in a development role, preferably leading annual fundraising efforts.
* Self starter with the capacity to work independently and effectively while meeting deadlines. 
* Ability to maintain proactive and timely communications with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration. 
* Knowledge of best practices in annual fund giving cultivation and stewardship.
* Excellent project management skills, including understanding of fundraising systems and automations; e.g., prospect tracking and scheduling, CRM maintenance and reporting, etc. 
* Data-driven approach to donor recruitment, renewal, upgrade, and reacquisition strategies.
* Comfort working with state-of-the-art software to further campaign goals. We use Salesforce, Pardot, Fundraise Up, Google Drive and asana.
* Capacity to adapt messaging to match the tone of the campaign, including writing as the founder & president, the VP of development, and other stakeholders.
