About the Role

JOB DETAILS
As a Veggie Challenge Campaigner, it is your job to further expand the number of users of the Veggie Challenge and improve the diversity of users.

You manage and optimize the Veggie Challenge advertisements on various social media platforms and you report monthly to funds.

You are responsible for devising, planning, executing and setting up collaborations with media, influencers, companies and governments around the ongoing Veggie Challenge promotion and participant recruitment in the Netherlands, with the annual campaign month in October as the peak moment. The focus is on diversity and reaching hard-to-reach target groups.

You support the campaign or communication staff of our fellow organizations in promoting the Veggie Challenge in their country, or in introducing it in new countries.

From 2024 you will also set up an annual international/multilingual Veggie Challenge campaign in collaboration with ProVeg International and you will carry it out in collaboration with ProVeg offices in other countries.

You also develop and manage campaign-specific advertisements (on Facebook and Instagram, among others) and you are ultimately responsible for producing attractive Veggie Challenge campaign materials (online and offline) in collaboration with the communication manager Jack, graphic designer Sophie and any volunteers and freelancers.

You work together with the Veggie Challenge team on a daily basis and based on the needs of the target group, you provide input on a quarterly basis for improvements to the Veggie Challenge app and newsletter series. You work closely with Veggie Challenge coordinator Joey and developers Ad and Sahan.

You remain involved in the Veggie Challenge community and, together with our communication manager Jack, our event freelancer Leonie and the Veggie Challenge partners and sponsors, you provide motivational elements during the year that can boost the campaign, such as the Veggie Challenge Live event on 5 and April 6, 2024.

About the Organisation

ProVeg International is a food awareness organisation working to transform the global food system by replacing animal-based products with plant-based and cultured alternatives. We work with decision-making bodies, companies, investors, the media, and the general public to help the world transition to a society and economy that are less reliant on animal agriculture and more sustainable for all humans, animals, and our planet. We have offices in nine countries across four continents and are active around the world. ProVeg has a permanent observer status with the UNFCCC, special consultative status with ECOSOC, is accredited for UNEA, and has received the United Nations’ Momentum for Change Award.
