About the Role

Employment: Full-time, CLT - Remote (Telework)
Directly Responsible: Communication and Marketing Board
Location: Municipality of São Paulo and Metropolitan Region 
Purpose of the job:
Plan, implement and manage Mercy For Animals's communication and public relations strategies in Brazil in order to promote the organization's image and its brands. 
* Plan the image building strategy and positioning of Mercy For Animals in Brazil and its brands;
* Manage the reputation and awareness of Mercy For Animal in Brazil and its brands;
* Work on external communication fronts, dedicating yourself to projects to strengthen the organization's brands;
* Manage the production of materials for different stakeholders;
* Nurture and manage relationship actions with the press, influential people and other stakeholders;
* Manage the organization's journalistic information for the media and vice versa;
* Development of brand communication plans and actions;
* Plan, organize and manage the activities developed by the communication department, defining a work schedule;
* Manage the development of guidelines, produce journalistic texts and coordinate interviews;
* Develop and manage spokesperson program, event participation;
* Disseminate the organization's achievements to the media and clarify information of interest to the organization;
* Manage, together with the Communication and Marketing Board, image crises;
* Manage and/or contribute to the planning of events: conception/concept (format, location, mailing, features, hired personalities), executive production and dissemination;
* Manage the production of reports relevant to the Public Relations area;
* Define and Manage the goals established for the Public Relations area;
* Work closely with the Communications and Marketing Board to coordinate efforts across all departmental cells;
* Maintain constant communication with the other departments of the organization to identify possible opportunities for amplifying the organization's message;
* Research and keep abreast of market trends and apply appropriate innovation to PR projects;
* Develop Communication and Public Relations strategies, together with other work teams, in an innovative and proactive way, seeking to maximize the impact of our mission;
* Align briefing with areas for the development of strategies that help to disseminate the organization's message;
* Management of key performance indicators, as well as budget control;
* Comply with all Mercy For Animals policies and procedures;
* Perform other activities requested by supervision.

Minimum requirements:
* Solid experience in Communication and/or Public Relations management positions;
* Extensive experience in image, reputation, crisis and influencer marketing management;
* Extensive experience in strategic communication planning;
* Intermediate English in writing and intermediate in conversation in order to maintain active collaboration with teams from other regions;
* Leadership skills and team development;
* Excellent communication and presentation skills;
* Emotional intelligence, passion for creativity and innovation;
* Knowledge of the animal protection movement;
* Excellent organization, teamwork, time management and project management skills;
* Support for the Mercy For Animals philosophy and ability to professionally represent the organization's positions;
* Commitment and openness to continuous personal and organizational growth in principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and justice;
* Alignment with the mission and values of the organization;
* Willingness to travel.
