About the Role

We are currently seeking a celebrity and media relations manager to join our engagement team. In this role, you will implement and guide strategy for Mercy For Animals’ celebrity and media relations in India, fostering a strong, consistent brand and following and productive external engagement with a diverse network and constituent base.
You will do invaluable work:
* Create, implement, and execute a communications strategy to develop Mercy For Animals’ recognition in India as a leading organisation for farmed animals in the country
* Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic content, including our main website, press releases, newsletter, and blog
* Develop and cultivate strong relationships with entertainment and media professionals, such as film and television executives, celebrity management agents, and journalists
* Oversee, implement, and evaluate engagement and public relations communications in India, driving strong regional feature coverage and using local and global content aligned with global messaging guidelines
* Pitch our campaigns, investigations, and videos to news-media outlets
* Serve as a spokesperson for Mercy For Animals in India
* Develop and cultivate strong relationships with celebrity management agencies and journalists who cover celebrities, enlist celebrity support, and generate media attention to promote Mercy For Animals India programmes and campaigns
* Design print and video campaigns for celebrities, finding innovative ways to recruit celebrities for Mercy For Animals India’s campaigns
* Perform any other duties assigned
