About the Role

In this position you will direct, support, and enable the Philanthropy Officers to maintain a robust pipeline of major gifts prospects and managed donors. This position will also maintain a portfolio of individual donors in their geographic region, and work in close collaboration with the Research, Stewardship, and Portfolio Management team to develop clear strategies and readiness to achieve successful solicitations. Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects at the $25,000 and above level using a Moves Management framework. Plan and implement major donor cultivation and solicitation strategies to secure funding for institutional priorities and to reach annual budgeted goals;
Manage and develop a team of Philanthropy Officers; responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting strategic goals, monitoring performance, providing guidance and mentorship, and ensuring there are adequate training opportunities for growth and development;
Contribute to the development of the department’s strategy; responsible for implementation and execution of the strategy;
Track and monitor the region’s performance in cultivation and solicitation activity goals; adjust priorities, coach, and mentor staff if goals are not being met. Develop, prepare, and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to track and document team performance;
Ensure that proper Moves Management practices are adhered to by all Philanthropy Officers and tracked within the ROI CRM system;
Participate as a member of Prospect Assignment team to assign merging donors to gift officers and remove unproductive or unresponsive prospects. Analyze and assess territories and new prospects to ensure maximum dollars are raised;
Champion philosophical norms and culture across the region;
Serve as member of the Philanthropy Leadership Team;
Collaborate with the Philanthropy staff and across the organization to build and sustain a productive and successful major gift fundraising culture;
Other duties as assigned.
