We are looking for a dynamic and experienced major gifts fundraiser with the skills, energy, and passion to play a key role in multiplying US philanthropy in this decisive decade as Compassion leads the way to ending factory farming by 2040.
In this role you will be responsible for cultivating and soliciting significant gifts from individuals (philanthropists and HNWIs) based in the US. You will manage relationships with existing donors, providing them with first-class stewardship through written updates and reports. New business growth is a priority, with a focus on managing our Major Gifts program ($10k+) and mid-value program ($1k - $10k). You will work closely with the US Head of Philanthropy, global programs colleagues and directors to identify funding opportunities and create compelling proposals for the work of Compassion in the US and globally. As part of your role, you will drive our events program – planning, and executing in-person events and webinars to cultivate and acknowledge donors and prospects. Strong relationship management skills, an ability to think creatively, and excellent writing and organizational skills are essential to the success of this role.
