About the Role

Permanent position, part-time home office in Germany


As a DevOps-oriented PHP developer , you will be part of our international IT team, developing and optimizing web applications and taking on system administration tasks .

You design and maintain the server-side part of web applications using PHP and relevant frameworks as a plugin or standalone code and continuously develop them further.

You improve software quality and performance using a modern CI/CD tool chain in combination with clean code principles.

You conscientiously comply with the current security and data protection concepts.

You maintain the web servers in terms of security, provisioning, deployment and the associated automation processes.

You work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of developers, designers and other system administrators.

You independently prepare training materials, conduct training courses and ensure the support of our users.


You have a degree in computer science or equivalent training/knowledge and at least 4 years of relevant professional experience .

You have at least 4 years of experience in PHP and in-depth knowledge of WordPress.

In addition, you have at least 2 years of experience in system administration.

You have in-depth experience in the areas of automation, provisioning, continuous integration, virtualization and cloud hosting services.

You have experience in data processing, maintenance and optimization of toolchains, quality assessment (unit tests, end-to-end tests, ...)

You are experienced in dealing with LAMP systems and can maintain them and keep them up to date with the latest technology.

You have extensive experience in the areas of hosting, automation, shell scripting as well as Python and/or Ansible.

You develop clean and maintainable code in compliance with applicable guidelines and standards.

You are characterized by well-structured, independent work and love being part of an international team.

You have excellent English and very good German skills
