The Communications Officer will collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all outgoing content – online and offline – aligns with Animal Equality’s organisational brand and values.
You will be responsible for handling video production, website content creation, organic reach and SEO, as well as day-to-day community engagement on Animal Equality UK’s social media platforms. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with all departments, particularly Marketing and Campaigns, to further Animal Equality’s life-saving work and impact for animals.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engaging with online audiences, building and captivating new audiences using a multi-channel approach.
Developing social media content that appeals to, and reflects, varying communities within society.
Responding to supporter queries and comments on social media in a timely manner.
Producing video content, ensuring the production of compelling videos to engage relevant stakeholders.
Acting as a brand guardian, supporting colleagues to develop written content for a range of platforms, online and offline, ensuring consistency and compliance with existing brand guidelines at all times.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest news releases and trends, developing relevant, topical content that creates momentum and captures the attention of the UK public.
Identifying trends and opportunities to reach a broader audience and encourage meaningful engagement.
Enhancing awareness, delivering content strategies that support growth, promote our brand effectively and increase awareness of the issues faced by farmed animals.
Supporting income generation - with guidance from the Marketing and Communications Manager, generating income and support philanthropic activities by implementing digital communication strategies to attract potential donors.
Generating interesting written and visual content for our website in the form of blogs, videos, infographics, petitions, campaign pages and more.
Tracking progress and impact, tracking and analysing Animal Equality’s social media pages, producing regular reports and recommendations.
SEO: execute Animal Equality’s SEO strategy, using keywords and creative techniques to encourage novel audiences to engage with our content digitally.
